Joan’s Studio of Dance announced it will host Judy’s Dance shop from Reno during the dance studio’s fall registration. Judy’s Dance shop with have dance supplies and apparel for sale from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Joan’s Studio of Dance, located at 110 South Gay St. in Susanville. This year marks the 46th season of instruction by Joan’s Studio of Dance. They offer classes in classical ballet, tap and jazz. THE READING ADVENTURE CONTINUES

The Lassen County Office of Education wants you to know the 2019 Reading Adventure program continues. They are giving away two free books for young readers. The first book is from the “Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.” You can pick up the book at any of the participating sponsors listed in this week’s ad. Then, at 9 a.m. Sept. 28, you can watch the movie for free at the Sierra Theater in Uptown Susanville. The second book is “The Westing Game,” and the free movie showing will be held on Nov. 2.
